ICO + +Nodos · One program

From diagnosis
to action.

First you understand where the disconnections are. Then you make the right people meet.

ICO Measures the network
Creates the connection

We measure. We activate. We measure again.

Why what you already tried didn't work

Restructures They change who reports to whom, not who knows whom.
Cross-functional projects They create a spike of contact that fades when the project ends.
Optional events The people who already know each other show up. The most isolated are the ones who don't appear.
Open doors No one walks through a door they don't know exists. In hybrid or remote teams, people need a reason and a mechanism to reach across to other areas.

Relationships between areas are built through repeated encounters, not a single one. That's why the program has a rhythm.

What the evidence says

Figures from studies and documented cases. Each card links to the original.

20–25%

Productivity potential

In 2012 the McKinsey Global Institute estimated that better communication and collaboration could raise knowledge-worker productivity by that range.

McKinsey Global Institute
~20%

Of the week, looking for help

According to that same study, the average knowledge worker spends about a fifth of their week finding internal information or locating colleagues who can solve something.

McKinsey Global Institute
25%

Of revenue, in few hands

In a network analysis of a global consultancy, a quarter of revenue-generating collaborations were concentrated in just 5% of the people.

Rob Cross case
US$2M+

In collaboration-linked sales

A McKinsey-documented case used network analysis to see which internal connections could be tied to more than US$2M in sales and where cross-sell opportunities were lost.

What gets cultivated every day

Managers, engineers and sellers say cross-area collaboration creates the most value. But day to day they prioritize their boss and their team.

More margin

And more loyal clients

Companies with more cross-area collaboration achieve greater client loyalty and higher margins, according to research by Heidi Gardner (Harvard).

The cycle

At the start · ICO entry

You measure the starting point

A 19-question instrument maps the real network: who collaborates with whom, where the silos are and which people hold the connection together. You get a map, a dashboard and an executive report.

Every two weeks · +Nodos rounds

You bring together people who don't cross paths

Each round, +Nodos pairs people from different teams, areas and levels over WhatsApp. Each pair decides how to meet: a lunch, a coffee, whatever they prefer.

Both accept before receiving the contact, and no one installs anything. What matters is consistency: one round is an event; many rounds are a habit.

At 3 or 4 months · ICO exit

You prove what changed

You measure again and compare against the first snapshot: new connections, silos that opened up and people who became bridges. That gives you numbers for your leadership.

What's included

  • ICO entry: network map, dashboard and executive report.
  • Match rounds every two weeks for the duration of the program.
  • Participation dashboard: matches sent, accepted and the profile of who connects.
  • ICO exit with before-and-after comparison.

What you'll be able to measure

  • How much areas connect with each other, before and after (ICO).
  • Which areas stay isolated and which people act as bridges (ICO network map).
  • Round participation: matches sent, accepted and unanswered (+Nodos dashboard).
  • Who is connecting: roles and interests (+Nodos dashboard).

The program in numbers

19

ICO questions

The instrument is applied at the start and again at 3 or 4 months, to compare before and after.

2 wk

Between rounds

Every two weeks each person is offered a chance to meet someone from another area, team or level.

3–4 months

From ICO to ICO

Time between the entry diagnostic and the new measurement, with steady rounds in between.

300–400

Possible new pairs

In a 100-person company: 50 pairs per round over 6 to 8 rounds. Each person accepts before connecting, so this is a maximum.

Frequently asked

How long does the program last?
Between 3 and 4 months, from the ICO entry to the ICO exit.
What happens in each round?
Each person receives a WhatsApp proposal to connect with someone from another area. If both accept, they coordinate on their own how to meet.
Can I buy only ICO or only +Nodos?
Yes. Each product is sold separately on its own site: indiceico.cl and masnodos.cl
How much time do I ask of my team?
Answering a 19-question instrument twice and setting aside a moment every couple of weeks for the conversation they choose.
How is this different from an ONA or RandomCoffee?
ONAs and RandomCoffee measure how many conversations happened. ICO measures your organization's network before and after: where the silos were and what changed. And the channel is WhatsApp, with nothing to install.
